In all of my sessions I photograph you against numerous backgrounds and do numerous poses in each setting, a session produces somewhere around 200 images, you get a CD with all the original images on it, and I do basic retouching to the best ones in each pose/outfit and setting. The studio is located in the Silver Spring area in Washington DC and is open 7 days a week. Please review each section of my website to determine what kind of images you would like to have done, there are distinct differences in each session, read below.

Fashion

A fashion shoot takes about 3 hours, make sure you bring at least 4 outfit changes and accessories, be creative and diverse in your selection of outfits, think out of the box. I normally like to shoot fashion both in studio and on location, so I prefer shooting this late afternoon/early evening, so I can take advantage of the soft light outside around sunset.

Glamour

Most of my glamour is done in studio, but I also come to your house/location of choice if you like me to, the majority of glamour images I do includes using lingerie style outfits with soft lighting

Portraiture

A regular portrait session takes about 2 hours, please bring 4 different tops and stay away from busy print materials and pure white colors, V-necks are excellent for portraits

Fine art

All of my fine art imagery shows skin, more skin the better, so you need to be comfortable with yourself in front of the camera and allow yourself to let go. Outfits are sometimes used, but I prefer using materials and light to cover up intricate parts of the body. This is also done with poses that hides and body parts you don't want shown.

Music Groups

I do lots of CD covers for individuals and for groups. T o get the best result possible, determine what kind of image you want to portray with your CD-cover, are you urban, traditional, rock or just lost(smile) Prior to the shoot I will discuss with you what kind of concept we should work on together. For groups I normally do 3 group settings and individual shots of each group member. I prefer doing the group shots outside due to space, my studio does only accommodate 3 to 4 people in a group, before the image quality starts suffering.

Questions often asked

Do You do TF work?
No I do not do TF work of any kind, sorry, I got bills to pay and the equipment costs to much money.

How do I make a Booking?
You can email me blacquejack@aol.com or call me 240-460-6764, I prefer you calling me so we can discuss in detail what you want to do, it also gives us a chance to interact and get to know a little about each other, which makes the session easier to start with, and together we can come up with creative ideas

Can I bring a friend to the session?
Yes you may bring a friend, but if you choose to do so, please don't bring no jealous boyfriend, bring a girlfriend, make sure the person comforts you and supports you and does not prevent you from letting go, this is extremely important in glamour and fine art, and can be very distracting to the session.

Is makeup included?
No makeup is not included in the session, but I have a list of makeup artists that I work with on a regular basis, and you can see their work on my site. Their rates vary, depending on the number of looks that you want and what makeup artists you choose, rates are from 125 and upwards.
Numerous people do their own makeup, if you choose to do this, make sure you know how to apply foundation/powder, so you can minimize the shine in your skin.
Another option is also to stop by the makeup counter at the mall prior to the shoot and get it done there.

Do you have props?
Yes, I do have some props, but I'm not a strong believer in props and busy backgrounds, I strongly prefer focusing on you as a model, working with poses and light to bring out the ultimate in you.

How long does it take before I get the images back?
You will get a CD the same day with the raw images, then later I will provide you with a second CD, with all the retouched images, this CD will be ready as soon as I can finish it, anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how busy I am.

What's your availability?
I work 7 days a week as a photographer full-time, Saturdays I am normally booked out for weddings, so your best bet is weekdays, even evenings.

Do you removed stretch marks and fat rolls?
Yes, I do remove this to the extent that it is possible

Do You pose Me?
Yes, I will help you with the poses, no matter what kind of session it is, but I also encourage you to review magazines and find your own poses as well. The best images are always the ones that you are yourself in, be creative, anything goes, and if it don't work, we hit the DELETE button. More fun we have, better the images, so try crazy stuff

Are All The picture on your site yours?
Yes, everything you have seen on this site is taken by me, work solo with no assistants

Do you make CompCards?
I do create compcards for models, but only the layout, as in this new digital age most agencies use digital files, and a compcard is something that is constantly updated.

How Much is a session?
I do not list my rates on the website, as it all depends on what you trying to get done, neither do I list my exact address for the studio, as photography equipment is rather expensive and I do not need to advertise where goonheads can come and steal my stuff(smile)
